AT 635 - Integration to Evidence Based Practice - Critical Appraisal Topic This course builds on and brings to fruition the work completed in AT 630. Students will develop critical appraisal topic (CAT) to strengthen evidence-based practice skills in athletic training. Students will learn to formulate focused clinical questions, systematically search and appraise the literature, and synthesize evidence to inform clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on critical appraisal of research quality, clinical relevance, and applicability to patient care, as well as clear, concise scholarly writing. Through guided instruction and iterative feedback, students will produce a completed CAT suitable for peer-reviewed publication, professional practice, clinical policy development, or dissemination within athletic training and sports medicine settings.
