ECON 218 - Personal Economics Focuses on managing personal finances and financial planning. Prepares students to understand how consumers make choices in an economy. Course does not presuppose any formal knowledge of economics, accounting or finance. Major topics discussed include: budgeting, credit, housing and transportation, economy, insurance, basic investing, financial planning and income tax, and retirement/estate planning.
