EE 312 - Electromagnetism II Solution of Maxwell’s equations and electromagnetic wave motion in different media. Boundary value problems. Laplace’s equation and Poisson’s equation in rectangular, cylindrical, and spherical coordinate systems. Electromagnetic wave propagation in free space, lossy dielectric, lossless dielectric, and good conductors. Power and the Poynting vector. Normal incidence of plane waves. Introduction to oblique incidence of plane waves. Transmission lines. Introduction to waveguides and antennas.
