LIT 247 - Fantasy, Folklore, & Mythology: The course examines literature in the unofficial cultures, folklore genres, and folklife groups that shape the human experience. Special emphasis will be on oral literature, cultural customs, and storytelling (folktales, fables, fairy tales, proverbs, riddles, songs, etc.), conventional beliefs, and traditional lifeways. Topics vary from semester to semester. May be repeated under different topics. This course fulfills the Human Diversity requirement.
