LIT 252 - Textual Perspectives-Indigenous Literature This course explores the rich body of literature produced by indigenous writers. This survey of American Indian literature includes a variety of Native self-representation across genres, regions, periods, forms, and tribal nations. We will read cultural critiques and policy debates alongside short stories, plays, and novels, as well as short films, YouTube videos, television episodes, and other media. This course satisfies the American Literature component of the English major and fulfills the Human Diversity requirement. Prerequisite: sophomore standing or permission of the instructor.
