LIT 260 - Medieval Literature This course is an introductory study of the major works of early and middle English literature and the accompanying developments in religious life, politics, and the evolution of the English language. Authors and texts may include /Beowulf/, /Sir Gawain and the Green Knight/, /Everyman/ and other mystery plays, Geoffrey Chaucer, Geoffrey of Monmouth, Marie de France, Margery Kempe, and Sir Thomas Mallory. This course satisfies the British Literature component of the major.
