NUR 218 - Pharmacology & the Nursing Process The course will provide an overview of the basis of pharmacologic therapy for treatment of a wide variety of health conditions. Major drug classes and principles of pharmacodynamics are addressed, within a holistic, nursing process framework. Nursing responsibilities for medication administration and medication safety are discussed, with an emphasis on client and family education. Complementary therapies are introduced.
