OT 230 - The OT Process This course examines the occupational therapy process, including: (a) screening and evaluation, (b) intervention planning and implementation, and (c) identification of targeted outcomes. Students will learn to select and apply assessment tools, collect, analyze, and report data in a systematic manner, and demonstrate understanding and use of electronic documentation systems. Key emphasis will be placed on development of clinical reasoning skills and understanding of core concepts such as client-centeredness, service delivery approaches, and practice within organizations and systems. In addition to lecture content, process and performance skills will be applied, practiced, and reinforced during weekly laboratory sessions.
