POS 317 - Presidents & Power How powerful is the President? This course explores the history and evolution of the Executive Branch, including the president and the bureaucracy. The course will pay particular attention to the Constitutional foundations of executive power and organization, the duties and responsibilities of the executive, presidential elections, and presidential character and performance. Students will learn about the role of the executive branch in domestic and foreign policy, and the executive’s relations with the legislative and judicial branches of government.
