SPE 110 - Overview of Exceptionalities Designed for pre-service teachers, the course surveys the process and provision of special education services for the students with special needs. Students learn about the causes and characteristics of intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities, emotional and behavior disorders, autism, and sensory impairment, as well as the impact of disabilities on families. The course fulfills the Human Diversity graduation requirement.
