EXS 465 - Exercise for Special Health Populations This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to assess the physical fitness of individuals with stable medical conditions. The focus of the course is on the assessment of the components of physical fitness: cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular fitness, body composition, and flexibility in patients/clients of special health populations. special health populations include pregnancy, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, poor psychological health, osteoporosis, arthritis, older adults, children and adolescents, neurological conditions, and metabolic disorders, etc.
