EGR 306 - Measurement and Dynamic Response This course explores the modeling of linear dynamic systems via transfer functions and state-space approach; analysis of first-, second- and third-order systems in the time and frequency domains using transfer function and state-space models; the development of control techniques based on PID using root-locus plots; and a brief overview of the behavior of non-linear systems. MATLAB, Simulink, and Mathematica will be used extensively in class, homework, and projects.
This lecture course complements and is complemented by the Laboratory course, EGR 371L.
