DPT 617L - Musculoskeletal P.T. Practice III: Spine Laboratory This course includes a regional approach to musculoskeletal examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and intervention of musculoskeletal spinal conditions. Students will utilize evidence-based examination procedures to establish a differential diagnosis that informs intervention. This course includes a review of common health conditions impacting the spine throughout the lifespan that includes evidence-based concepts and the application of therapeutic exercise, manual interventions, and alternate/adjunctive intervention strategies. Additional topics that are pertinent to musculoskeletal 278 physical therapy practice of spinal health conditions will also be included. Throughout the course, an emphasis will be placed on evidence-based, clinical decision making that leads to optimal outcomes in the care of individual patients/clients. 4 hours of lab weekly.
