MCC 540 - Addiction and Society This course will analyze the behavioral, pharmacological, historical, social, legal and clinical perspectives that surround the use, abuse and addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Current methodologies will be examined as to their effectiveness in both the prevention and treatment of addictive disorders. Other addictions and related high-risk behaviors will be analyzed from an addiction model of behavior.
