MED 544 - Transition & Instruction Secondary Education Special Needs Students This course addresses the legal and instructional issues related to adolescents and young adults with disabilities. Topics include functional curriculum, individual transition planning, self-determination and self-advocacy. Included in this course are ten hours of embedded fieldwork within community-based, vocational or post-secondary sites where individuals aged 16 through young adults are taught. (3 credits).
