MED 665 - Assessment & Teaching Strategies in Secondary Education This course is required for students in the post-baccalaureate Secondary Education/English, Secondary Education/Math, Secondary Educations/Science, and Secondary Education/Social Studies teaching programs and must be taken prior to Student Teaching. Students will review academic standards as related to their own content areas as taught in grades 7-12 in today’s schools, as well as general and content-specific methodology and assessment strategies. The use of instructional technology and accommodations for diverse learners will be discussed. Students will engage in a 40 Hour supervised practicum in a high school as part of this course.
