HCS 335 - Population Health in Epidemiology

This course integrates concepts of traditional public health, methods of health care, and public policy interventions to improve the population’s health. Delivery of health care and settings are explored with an emphasis on vulnerable populations in one’s local community. Epidemiology data are introduced through the Epidemiology Triangle Model components (host, agent, and environment). A systems-thinking strategy will also be applied through a familiarization assessment in evaluation of a selected community.
