EGR 371L - Measurement and Dynamic Response Laboratory


This lab course is an introduction to mechatronic systems, measurement, and instrumentation. Topics covered include analog and digital electronics, sensors, actuators, microprocessors, and microprocessor interfacing to electro-mechanical systems. Students will work with instruments such as oscilloscopes, breadboards, function generators, digital data acquisition systems, integrated circuits, strain gauges, position sensors, thermocouples, and passive and active filters. Students will apply descriptive and inferential statistics to interpret the results of their collected data.

The laboratory assignments complement the lecture course EGR 306 , which must be taken as a prerequisite or concurrently.
