ED 404 - Teaching Math in Elementary Schools


The course surveys evidence-based practices of teaching mathematics in elementary school. Standards-aligned methods of teaching elementary math, developmentally effective instructional strategies, math learning applications, and assessment strategies are explored. Course concepts and skills are applied in a service/real world learning project conducted in a community education program and related PK-12 classroom experience in the co-requisite ED 436 . Teacher candidacy status and academic and health compliance are required. Offered: Fall
