ED 440 - Teaching Science in the Elementary School
The course surveys evidence-based practices of teaching science in elementary school. Standards-aligned methods of teaching elementary science, developmentally effective instructional strategies, science learning applications, and assessment strategies are explored. Course concepts and skills are applied in a service/real world learning project conducted in a community education program and related PK-12 classroom experience in the co-requisite ED 436 .
