OT 430 - Healthcare Team Collaboration This course provides a foundation for effective team collaboration, exploring the origins, practices, and ethical standards of various health care professions and simulating interprofessional interactions. Culturally sensitive, responsive, and effective care will be examined in addition to leadership styles, team dynamics, and strategies for promoting and providing safe, optimal client-care. OT students should expect to interact and work with peers in other healthcare disciplines (i.e., nursing, physical therapy, social work…), demonstrating clinical reasoning skills, critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and effective communication in the promotion of occupational therapy services, and in support of the client’s health and well-being.
